Earthware partner with GoLearnTo to develop innovative educational travel websites

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

Some time ago, Earthware was approached by Vanessa Lenssen, Managing Director of GoLearnTo Ltd, to develop a series of websites to launch a new educational travel company. This is a fantastic project to be involved with and we are jointly proud of the results.

We are also looking forward to the next stages of development as there are some exciting things in the plan and maybe even some really cool interactive mapping (watch this space).

The recent press release below gives more details:

Learning holiday specialist in STA deal

23 Jan 2008

GoLearnTo.com, a new website that specialises in inspirational holiday courses, has signed a trade partnership with STA Travel.

In a statement GoLearnTo.com said it would feature as a fully customised white label on STA Travel’s website, and also provide STA’s network of retail branches with an agents’ booking system.
It added that in recent years, STA has seen an increase in demand for holidays with a purpose, ‘with a growing customer need for self fulfillment as well as trips that have the ‘brag’ factor’.
GoLearnTo.com helps meet this need by selling learning holidays offering courses including languages, kite surfing, cookery, painting, perfume-making and sailing.
STA Travel product director, Ian Swain, said: ‘The GoLearnTo system is easy to use and their fully customised white label solution allows us to easily present the product range both offline and online.
‘We chose to partner with GoLearnTo because of the uniqueness of its product range bringing holiday courses together within one website, as well as the ease of use, guaranteed availability and competitive pricing.’
GoLearnTo.com, which went live three weeks ago, was set up by Vanessa Lenssen, its managing director.

Residential Version of EarthwareProperty launched in the UK

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

Earthware are delighted to announce the launch of the first implementation of our interactive property mapping product (EarthwareProperty) in conjunction with our launch partner London Executive.

EarthwareProperty offers London Executive’s web site the following benefits:

  • Access to the best imagery set of London available through the web
  • Seamlessly embedded into their web site to make THEIR site look great
  • Branded to their web site using bespoke icons, search panels, layout etc.

Please visit the interactive property map at London Executive.  Please see below for our press release:

“Property Research Just Got Easier”

Searching for property on the internet just got easier with the launch of Earthware’s new mapping solution. It uses the best available imagery, and clever “in map searching” so that you never have to leave the map to do your property research. It will help to prevent wasted visits to properties you would never buy if you knew a little more about them in the first place.

Earthware’s launch partner, London Executive, is a niche market real estate agency that deals solely with prime central London properties. “We manage the residential property portfolios of international investors and often purchase real estate on their behalf. We want to convey important information to our clients such as the heights of adjacent buildings and the density of street parking spaces. This type of information is very difficult to convey on existing mapping solutions. Earthware’s crystal clear imagery of London streets is the perfect solution. This is property viewing from a different angle and we expect this to add further value to the exclusive properties we currently market”, announced Georges Verdis, Chief Technology Officer of London Executive. He further added that “Earthware’s product seamlessly embedded into our website and we are really pleased with the results and have had great feedback from our customers.”

The London bird’s eye views can now be experienced on www.london-executive.com and to see the range of mapping products offered by Earthware, visit www.earthware.co.uk.”

3D Innovation for the new year.

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

Hi Guys, its been a little while since I last Blogged so I will take this opportunity to wish you all a happy a new year. What follows is a few of our latest offerings, with one more to follow once I have finished it hopefully later today but as someone is coming in to pull down a wall in the office tomorrow I’m not sure I’m gonna get there in time!

Also a quick welcome to anyone coming through to us from 3Dvia. Somehow my work has ended up on the homepage so that makes this post long over due for some of you.

Anyway here goes:

Earthware Tower

This video demonstrates the Earthware tower which allows the user to view the inside as well as the outside of a building in Google Earth. This is the first product aimed at developers of large residential buildings with complicated features. The video outlines the main selling points and a few new features of this style of 3D model. Below is the link to download the Google Earth file so that you can have a play yourself!

Earthware Superstore

As with all these videos please excuse all the rubbish music. If it were up to me it would be something a little be more cool and a lot less cliché but we don’t want to have to pay royalties so my choice was limited!

Anyway this video shows Earthware superstore a fictional out of town shopping centre or depot style building. This to has a simple interior to show the scope of what is becoming possible with Google Earth and will hopefully be possible with virtual earth very soon.

If your interested in commercial property please check out www.novaloca.com which has a working example of Earthware’s advanced mapping and where hopefully 3D buildings will become a common place feature of the search once Microsoft has developed their tool kit a bit further.

As usual we would love your feedback on these items using the comments below, or if you have any business propositions then please contact us.

Cheers
