Hi John,

Iam interested in this solution

"but if you ever wanted to play with SQL Sever 2008 spatial I could show you where the data is and how to do it.
"

Could you direct me to an example

Thanks

Thanks John

Good idea on the multi point routing Ill take a look. Yes I thought an easy way to fix the coastal issue was as you suggested, probably the next article ;-)

Earthware,
Any way you could use the multipoint routing? I think it is limited to 25 segments but you could go from the point out to 12 spikes by returning to the first point every 2nd one. I'd hope this would be faster.
The other thing tht would be cool is to have the ocean boundary polygons, so in your coastal example you would detect the edge of the land and make this the boundary. Not sure how to do this in js but if you ever wanted to play with SQL Sever 2008 spatial I could show you where the data is and how to do it.
