Background

After posting models on 3DVia's website, Chris our ‘Multimedia Guru’, was laid a challenge by the team at 3DVia, to design specific models in Shape. Chris returned within a few days with a model of an Air traffic control tower to rave reviews. This led to 3dVia engaging our services to assist them in preparing a feature for Microsoft; visualising their new French Headquarters in the heart of the Paris business district. In total, Earthware modelled nine buildings, included the development’s flagship; Eos Generiali.

Why Earthware?

Building on an existing history, 3DVia regarded Earthware as being innovative enough to take on an interesting project like this as it played to our strengths in both Virtual Earth and 3D Modeling

What did we deliver?

• A 3D landscape of the development site including:
  • 3D models of the proposed development
  • Modelling of additional buildings for perspective, including the Eiffel Tower
  • Embedding the above into Microsoft's Virtual Earth
• The models, to be used in future projects from the 3DVia team

Post Script

This is an excellent example of the reason Earthware put such great emphasis on fostering client relationships. This project came solely through referral. 3DVia were aware of our talents due to working on previous projects, and together we managed to deliver a presentation that was shown to the existing French Headquarters of Microsoft, visually conceptualising their future premises.
