Background

SEGRO is a commercial property investment and development company who were updating their website. They were looking to add a property search feature, using web based maps, to maximise the SEO value and usability for the SEGRO website in order to help their users quickly find properties that match their requirements. SEGRO approached Earthware and our client, commercial property portal NovaLoca, to scope out the development of a live property search functionality that would query the SEGRO property information (for properties in the UK and in mainland Europe), listed in the NovaLoca database and display this information on a map.

Why Earthware?

Earthware (and our sister brand, The Technology Studio) built the NovaLoca database which SEGRO wanted to use to drive their new property search functionality. With our knowledge of the NovaLoca system and our ability to develop bespoke mapping services and property search functionality, SEGRO were confident Earthware were the right people for their project.

What Did We Deliver?

• Property search functionality embedded in the SEGRO website via an iframe that draws property data from the NovaLoca database via a WCF service
• A custom branded property map, for the UK and Europe, to display property information
