Background

Residential Land initially approached Earthware to find out how we could help them integrate property maps into their website after they saw that our interactive property mapping product, Earthware Property, embedded in the London Executive website had helped them to win the Best UK Technology and Web category at the 2008 Estate Agent of the Year Awards. Residential Land let 1,200 individual apartments in 20+ buildings located across London’s most highly valued postcodes available to rent either directly or via agents. They were looking for a residential property mapping solution that would make finding a suitable property from this portfolio really easy.

As Residential Land considered how they would integrate the new property mapping solution into their website, they decided to invest in their entire site and underlying administration system including the property maps. They invited our sister company, The Technology Studio, to pitch for the website project, which we won.

Why Earthware?

Residential Land had never seen anything like the property mapping we were able to offer them and were especially blown away by the bird’s eye imagery that using Bing Maps as the mapping platform offered them. They were quickly convinced that the features and imagery available in Earthware’s property maps would give their website the ‘wow’ factor they were after and would show prospective tenants Residential Land’s properties in the best possible light without visiting in person.

Post Script

The Residential Land website is recognised amongst property agents as being technically advanced with the property mapping making finding suitable property really simple. Since the property maps went live, we have continued to work with Residential Land to improve the offering. We have embedded Photosynths of properties into the maps, giving the user even more information about the property without needing to leave the map and have worked on Residential Land’s search engine optimisation and PPC. Earthware, and Residential Land, are committed to continuing to add the latest technologies to their property maps and website and to increasing Residential Land’s online presence.
