Background

Audley Travel is a high end bespoke travel holiday company who have won awards for their website. Their in-house development team had developed a new website, however, Audley wanted to add a number of bespoke travel maps to the new site to show the location of and information about places of interest across the world.

Why Earthware?

Recognising that Audley Travel’s in-house team are not interactive mapping specialists, Audley Travel approached Earthware to investigate how we could help them develop the travel mapping implementation they were looking for. Audley have previous experience in working with Earthware’s development team and appreciated the experience and expertise that we could bring to this project and had confidence that we would deliver the standard of online mapping implementation they were looking for.

What Did We Deliver?

• The specification for a custom webservice
• Google Maps mapping implementation
• Four differently styled and functioning travel maps that pick up data and images from the webservice using Javascript
• AJAX styled overlay controls on maps
